Well, after today's emails coming off  the message board I can tell that this Blog won't fly. Too bad it would've been fun. Over 200 Valencia folks checked it out but nobody posted.

Well, I'm announcing today that I'm going to be a Bubbe for the first time.  My baby's having a baby in January. Most of you are already lucky multiple times...  Can't wait!

New mail from the Board of Directors...The RR Club will now be exiled from the community. This is terrible news. Any club that has people with a common interest should be allowed to exist. What's hard for me to believe is that not one member of the current Board dissented on the vote.
At the beginning when the RR Club submitted their proposal it should have been allowed to exist no restrictions no conflicts. Those that wanted to join would have. If a speaker was brought in, those that were interested would have attended. No big deal.

On the other hand, please everyone...no publicity..it will ruin this community...been there done that...trust me it won't be good!

We moved to VP from the Hamlet Country Club five years ago. I was on the Boards of the Country Club and the HOA.  Two separate governing powers which has lead to the fall of the club. Too many people with too many opinions on how to bring the community back to it's former glory.

We saw the writing on the wall, failure would happen sooner than later. We were lucky..somebody bought our house after a year on the market and we got out.

There are lawsuits at the Hamlet, tremendous debt and lots of unhappy residents.

Don't let that happen here. Let's be smart. Pick the right candidates to run for our Board, and have lots of open forum discussions on how we want to proceed in the future.
